Miami & The Everglades!

Just for the kids-- they wanted to see the alligators too!

We left SLC at 11:59pm last night.... and the cabin lights in the plane wouldn't turn off, so there was no sleeping going on. We took a half hour nap in the Atlanta airport before boarding our connection, and we got in to Miami at 9:15am here. After getting our rental car and some breakfast we headed straight for the Everglades!

We rode on an airboat. The boat driver was named Gus. He helped us find the alligators.

The first wild alligator we saw from the boat!
Here's another one... do you see the Slider Turtle next to it?
Look at the size of this thing! Wait though, we found a bigger one!

Mommy & Daddy on the airboat, enjoying some sunshine and Gators!
After the airboat ride we got to see an alligator show. See his alligator grin?
Then we got to take a walk around the park to see the alligators. There are 5 or 6 behind the fence.
Can you see the sneaky one in the water?

Then we found this ENORMOUS alligator! It was 8-10 feet long. Mommy is pretending to run away, but really the alligator was just sleeping in the sun.

We love you and miss you and hope you're having a great time with Grandma!!

Very fun!! Everyone loved the pictures. EmmaRay woke up at 6:00 this morning. [Like sunshine...no going back to bed] First thing she said was, "Mommy gone. Daddy gone. Bacation."
