2016- Year in Review

This year has been filled with a lot of work, projects, school, play & family. Here are a few highlights & favorites from everyone:

Josiah (23 Months)- loves Bottles, Papa, running, jumping on the trampoline, “No!” (which means Snow), and “Cool Dudes” (sunglasses). Loves playing in sand & with playdoh, loves getting rides from Papa, & always wants a “dong” (song) from Mama before going to sleep. He loves playing with his brothers & sisters, especially “E Hockey” (air hockey). Says the cutest prayers & gives the best hugs!

EmmaRay (8 ½)- Watching Joey eat his 1^st Birthday cake & get so messy! Going to San Diego & Sea World on my Birthday! I got baptized! Losing my hat in the Grand Canyon. Taking a tumbling class & learning to do cartwheels. Going to Seven Peaks Water Park. Learning multiplication. Being a Jellyfish in The Little Mermaid play. Getting a swingset in the backyard!

Michael- Teaching the boys to snowboard. Hiking to Potato Chip Rock & playing on the beach in San Diego. Building a brick retaining wall & bench in the backyard & enjoying the gas firepit. Watching movies projected on the side of the house. Camping & exploring at Calf Creek Falls in Escalante, UT. Fishing, camping, and Paddle-boarding as often as possible. 4^Th of July Fireworks & BBQ's. Playing games with the kids, & having a foosball, air hockey, & ping pong tournament.

Adelynn (6)- Drinking hot cocoa after playing in the snow. Going Ice Skating for the first time. Building snowmen. Learning to read! Going camping at Greens Lake (Flaming Gorge). Playing with my baby dolls. Doing somersaults, cartwheels & handstands.

Brennan (10 ½)- Learning to Unicycle! Playing with Joey a lot. Playing on a Flag Football team. Reading a ton of books. Juggling balls, rings, clubs, bouncing, & eating an apple! Playing the piano & trombone. Snowboarding with Dad. Playing backyard football & soccer with friends. Camping at Marsh Lake with cousins!

Cadence (12)- Going hiking in the Grand Canyon, Escalante & Bryce Canyon. Playing Flag Football. Going to Lagoon with Dad & riding all the roller coasters. Playing the Piano in church (with my friend on Violin). Getting the Priesthood & becoming a Deacon. Going on the big lifts to snowboard with Dad.

Angela- Quick trip to Portland & Seaside with the kids to celebrate Grandma Evelyn's life. Going to Idaho & getting to see Grandpa Dale smile one last time. Canning jars & jars of jam, syrup, fruit, tomatoes & salsa from the garden. Having all of our families together & getting a big family picture of both sides. Activities & Girls Camp with the Young Women. Giving rides on the paddle-board. Camping a lot! Painting & finishing projects in the house & yard. Watching each of our kids learn & grow so much this year.
